Job Description
As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Driver in Tillery, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post for professionals who value teamwork, act with integrity, and bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach to every shift.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeTue05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSun05:45 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site leadership and/or public officials.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support controlled entry and exit procedures in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
- Serve in an armed capacity when assigned, maintaining professional bearing and handling assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post instructions, and applicable laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
