Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history. Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Network Engineer (Level 2 OR 3) for our team based in Aurora, CO.
In this role, the successful candidate will design and plan network communication systems and provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. The candidate must troubleshoot and isolate network faults and failures in a LAN/WAN environment and provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selections, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. This candidate will maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and software interconnections and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance the capabilities of the network.
Candidates must be Security+ certified and have an adjudicated full‑scope polygraph at time of employment. Candidates must be able to work within a group or independently where collaboration and attention to detail is critical to mission success.
Basic Qualifications
Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 0 years.
Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years.
Active TS/SCI with an adjudicated full‑scope polygraph at time of application.
Candidates are required to be Security+ certified.
Candidates must travel a minimum of 30% of the time.
The candidate will maintain technical expertise in network and software interconnections and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and COMSEC equipment knowledge.
Knowledge of CISCO routers and switches, hardware and software.
Experience designing additions to a large network.
Knowledge of Linux and Windows.
Preferred Qualifications
Firewall hardware and software knowledge, administration, management, and modifications.
Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 – $125,200.00. Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 – $155,400.00. The above salary range is a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers such as scope and responsibilities, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
