Role Description The Environment Manager will oversee and coordinate multiple IT environments, ensuring they are stable, secure, and aligned with project and business requirements.
This contract role involves managing environment configurations, scheduling and supporting releases, monitoring performance, and resolving environment-related issues in collaboration with development, testing, and infrastructure teams.
The Environment Manager will maintain accurate environment documentation, manage environment refreshes and data resets, and support incident and problem management processes.
The position is based in Dublin in a hybrid working model, combining on-site collaboration with flexibility to work from home.
The role also includes engaging with stakeholders to plan environment usage, mitigate risks, and continuously improve environment management practices.
Qualifications Proven experience in environment management, configuration management, or similar roles within complex IT landscapes.
Strong understanding of infrastructure and application lifecycle management, including test, pre-production, and production environments.
Experience coordinating with development, QA, operations, and release management teams to support deployments and environment changes.
Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks, including incident, problem, and change management practices.
Ability to analyze environment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective, sustainable solutions.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and planning skills, with attention to detail in tracking environment usage and schedules.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
Comfort working in a hybrid model, managing priorities across on-site and remote work, and adapting to evolving project demands.
Relevant technical background in infrastructure, systems administration, DevOps, or software delivery environments is advantageous. xyswxtq
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
