practice covering traditional inpatient consults at two hospitals and outpatient clinic. Future anticipated development includes developing and enhancing our OPAT and outpatient wound care services. Travel Medicine consultation is also a recognized community need for potential development. Potential expansion of ID coverage to nearby LTAC that receives many ofhospital patients who remain under our care.The ideal candidate will be collaborative, clinically strong, agood educator and interested in continued program development with expansion of Infectious diseases services. Requirements & Highlights: Board Certified MD/DO Inpatient rounding providing Infectious Diseases consults, averaging 6+ new consults daily, as well as follow-up visits. We support a very robust, high acuity critical service and a community with a very broad spectrum of both common and uncommon infections. Outpatient clinic for follow up of prior inpatients and new outpatient consults. Will have one or two residents assigned to the service as a dedicated rotation to perform consults, see patients in the clinic along with attending. Clinical Faculty appointment available at Mercer School of Medicine Participation in Antibiotic and Diagnostic Stewardship programs including weekly interdisciplinary meetings with Pharmacy, Microbiology and Infection Prevention. Close collaboration with inpatient wound care nurses (WOCN) including performing bedside wound debridement and NPWT supervision Benefits: Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits including CME, and 401K with match.
