Our values ask for a deeper level of commitment, and what is asked of us we freely give because we believe in our mission.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentExcellent organizational skillsStrong communication – customer service skillsFluent in EnglishPhysical demands: Requires much walking, lifting, and physical exertion. Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. Requires full range of motion.Maintains current BLS certificationDuties and Responsibilities:Transports patients to and from their room, via wheelchair or stretcher, to Radiology or other departments as requested to include transport of patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, and special equipment.Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretcher as requested.Approach, greet, and offer assistance and direction to customers entering the hospital.Comforts patients and their families by offering support and encouragement.Punctual and attentive to procedure schedules.Demonstrates caring and cultural sensitivity.Ensure patient is properly identified before transporting.Ensure equipment is clean and working properly.Handles daily routine problems, following proper channels of communicationDemonstrates good organizational skills for prioritizing and delegatingAssumes active role in department by participating in staff meetingsUnderstand the basic reporting system for position: Radiology Management, Radiology Supervisor, Charge Technologist, Sr. Radiologic Technologist, Senior ClerkAdheres to radiology dress codeMaintains current BLS certification.Each employee is responsible for implementing SJRMC’s Service Standards into their daily work:
Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and StewardshipOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:Exposure to radiation hazards through radiology proceduresExposure to body fluids through direct contact, IV procedures, infection and/or contagious diseasesRequires lifting, moving, pushing, pulling, prolonged standingProvide multiple and directional guidance during procedures to patients with caring and compassionInteraction with potential verbally abusive patients
