Position Overview Senior Network Engineer, Platform Operations and Network Engineering team – senior individual‑contributor role. Responsible for operating a global production network, shaping the organization toward more automated and reliable operations, and supporting a high‑availability environment. Key Responsibilities Operate and evolve Dimensional’s global network infrastructure: routing, switching, campus and data‑center networks. Manage WAN and SD‑WAN connectivity, remote access and VPN, enterprise wireless, next‑generation firewalls (PaloAlto), load balancing / ADC platforms, and Cisco‑based telephony and voice network infrastructure. Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple domains and geographies; work with carriers and service providers to resolve faults and support upgrades. Participate in a 24/7 production environment and shared on‑call rotation; contribute to incident response, root‑cause analysis, and long‑term reliability improvements. Identify opportunities to reduce manual operational work through automation; build and improve network automation tooling and workflows. Work with Infrastructure‑as‑Code concepts and Git‑based workflows for network changes; help adopt Network‑as‑Code and Operations‑as‑Code practices. Develop automation for device provisioning and lifecycle management, configuration management and drift detection, and network configuration validation and compliance checks. Support networking for hybrid infrastructure environments, including on‑premises systems and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); collaborate with platform teams on virtualized and containerized environments (NSX‑T, OKD/OpenShift/Kubernetes). Partner with security teams on segmentation, firewall policy and access design; provide guidance to other teams on network services and operational best practices. Improve monitoring, observability, and network health visibility; build and maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge‑base articles; enhance operational safety, repeatability, and scalability. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of hands‑on network engineering experience in enterprise environments. Strong experience operating 24/7 production network infrastructure. Solid background with Cisco routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, etc.). Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks. Experience with next‑generation firewalls (PaloAlto preferred). Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical teams. Required: Network Automation Background Experience implementing network automation, using Python and network APIs to manage devices or workflows. Experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar. Familiarity with Git‑based workflows for infrastructure changes. Experience implementing validation, compliance or drift detection through automation. Preferred Qualifications CCNP (Enterprise/Security/Data Center) or equivalent; DevNet is a plus. Experience with SD‑WAN platforms. Experience with F5 load balancing. Experience with NSX‑T, OKD/OpenShift/Kubernetes networking. Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP networking. Experience with Cisco ISE, MPLS, remote access VPN or enterprise voice environments. Experience in the financial services industry is a plus. Additional Notes Participation in an on‑call rotation is required. After‑hours or weekend work will be required to support production needs. Occasional work in network or communications rooms may be required. Remote work is available.
