Assistant Branch Manager

Road Runner is seeking a motivated, dependable, and accountable Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations, team leadership, and overall operational efficiency within one of our branches.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with traffic control, roadway safety, construction operations, or related field experience who is ready to grow within a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, able to lead by example, and capable of helping maintain strong operational standards across the branch.

The Assistant Branch Manager will work closely with branch leadership to support scheduling, crew coordination, customer service, operational planning, and employee accountability while helping ensure projects and daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with overseeing daily branch operations and workflow management
  • Support scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of crews, equipment, and materials
  • Help lead, motivate, and hold team members accountable to company expectations and safety standards
  • Maintain strong communication between office staff, field crews, customers, and management
  • Assist with inventory organization, yard operations, and operational planning
  • Help resolve customer concerns and operational issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed
  • Provide hands-on operational support when needed to help maintain productivity and efficiency
  • Support employee onboarding, training, and development efforts
Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or assistant management experience preferred
  • Traffic control, roadway safety, construction operations, or related industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable attendance and strong follow-through
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Ability to lead teams professionally while maintaining accountability and productivity
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support branch operations wherever needed
