As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Motorist in Orlando, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.81 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, buildings, and/or perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public-facing spaces, verifying authorized access, checking credentials when required, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with post orders.
  • Support day-to-day operations by remaining visible on location, assisting with directional questions, observing for policy violations, and following Allied Universal procedures for incident reporting and escalation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
