The Event Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is selling and servicing the event space, concentrating sales efforts in Banquet Food & Beverage and Meeting Room Rental for catering business. This position acts as a one stop shop sales contact & liaison between Meeting Planners and the hotel staff, and clients should view the Event Sales Manager as an enthusiastic and passionate expert in the planning and sales fields. Responsibilities include covering the full life cycle of the event from selling event spaces, menu planning and agenda setting, diagramming, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, onsite management and managing billing/final post event review. Business Development is also a crucial portion and skill for this job.
The salary range for this position is $80,170.00 to $109,800. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, and education.

Qualifications
Flexibility in schedule to work some nights and weekends as needed based on event days/times
Strong customer service and client relationship building skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment
Time management skills and ability to re-prioritize is needed
Candidates should be passionate about Event Sales with proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded
