As an ARRT Radiologic Technologist, you will operate advanced imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, assisting radiologists in patient care. Key Responsibilities
Maintain schedule flexibility and punctuality while managing multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. Communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and team members, ensuring smooth coordination and patient comfort. Provide safe patient transfers using adaptive equipment such as hoyer lifts and sliding boards. Handle confidential information with professionalism and adhere to compliance standards. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance departmental quality and safety. Keep patients and their families informed about exam progress and respond promptly to their needs. Perform radiologic procedures following departmental policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring patient safety at all times. Education Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is required. Experience At least six months of experience as a registered radiographer is preferred but not mandatory. Certifications and Licenses
Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or registry-eligible candidates who will attempt and pass the registry within 90 days of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
Mental and Physical Requirements Close mental and visual attention is necessary for extended periods. The role involves standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs, and other physical activities. Ability to work under stressful conditions and transport oneself throughout the department is essential. Working Conditions Potential exposure to infectious diseases, chemicals, anesthetics, and controlled radiation. Shift work and on-call duties may be required to provide continuous patient care.
