Role: Hardware Board Design Engineer - Urgent Location:
Sunnyvale, CA – Onsite
Key Job Responsibiliti esLead electrical hardware design fo r SoC‑based consumer electronic produc ts from concept through mass production with high autonomy and limited guidanc e.Translate product requirements and system specifications int o functional block diagrams, detailed schematics, and BOM definitio n s.Design and revie w SoC / DDR subsyste ms, includin g LPDDR5 / LPDDR 5X memory interfaces, ensuring signal integrity and timing complianc e.Implemen t high‑speed PHY interfac es: PCIe, USB 2.0 / 3.x / Type‑C, GigE, HDMI, DisplayPort, MIPI CSI/DSI, and SerDes channel s.Desig n power management architectur es, including PMIC selection and integration (AC‑DC, DC‑DC), battery charging circuits (Li‑Ion), power sequencing, and thermal managemen t.Develo p camera, display, and audio subsyste ms, including sensors, display drivers, codec integration, and amplifier desig n.Desig n wireless / RF front‑end circui ts for Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and related protocols; collaborate on antenna integration and RF optimizatio n.Implemen t ESD / EMI protection strategi es and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standard s.Perform schematic capture usin g OrCAD Captu re and collaborate on multilayer high‑speed PCB layout usin g Cadence Alleg ro, including HDI and ALIC stack‑up s.Appl y DFM / DFA principl es to ensure manufacturability, testability, and cost optimizatio n.Execut e post‑silicon validati on and system‑level / SoC‑level failure analysi s.Lea d hardware bring‑up and deb ug, drive root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective action s.Coordinate wit h firmware, mechanical, test, and manufacturing tea ms across geographie s.Basic Qualificatio nsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineeri ng5+ years of hardware design and validation experien ceExperience with design, analysis, PCB schematic and layout revie wsKnowledge of power and thermal design and validati onExperience with high‑speed I/O, low‑speed I/O, and voltage regulato rsPython scripting experien ceStrong understanding o f SI/PI, transmission‑line theory, PDN desi gnHands‑on experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, TDR/VNA, power mete rs
