About

Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (Contract Position) Schedule Monday through Friday, variable hours based on procedural volume and department needs. No call requirements. Job Description Join our Cardiac Cath Lab team as a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist, where you will support our growing cardiovascular services in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. Your role involves assisting physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. Responsibilities
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for cardiac catheterization procedures. Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards. Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the clinical team. Document procedural information accurately and completely. Assist with patient transport, positioning, and post-procedure care as needed. Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives. Maintain equipment and report operational concerns promptly.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related program. Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred, or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with cardiac catheterization experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Minimum of five years of recent cardiac catheterization laboratory experience preferred. Strong understanding of sterile technique, cardiovascular anatomy, and cardiac procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
