Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, and episodic health conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians Providing essential education to patients and families on wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice Engaging in follow-ups and chronic disease management of patients Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to assure comprehensive, integrated care Maintaining precise and complete documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Background
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner training program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in New York National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or comparable Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) What Makes You Stand Out
