Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations employing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Design and implement tailored treatment plans to cater to individual communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals. Deliver individualized therapy sessions that target fluency, language, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Partner with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, and medical staff, to contribute to an integrated care model. Educate patients and families to foster progress and reinforce strategies outside of clinical settings. Perform occasional inpatient assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the treatment continuum. Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to the standards set by regulating bodies. Engage in continuous professional development and peer networking to stay abreast of industry advancements. Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have yet to obtain ASHA certification. Licenses and Certifications
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Essential Skills
