Location: Gorinchem, Netherlands or Brussels, Belgium

What You Will Do:
As the Team Leader of Industrial Refrigeration Engineering, you will spearhead a dynamic team of pre-sales and post-sales design engineers across Belgium and the Netherlands. Your leadership will drive the development and direction of the engineering team, ensuring day-to-day management and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Development: Guide and mentor your team, promoting growth and excellence in engineering practices.
  • Team Management: Take ownership of daily team operations, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication.
  • Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor, assess, and report on project status, issues, risks, and activities to meet deployment schedules and objectives.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with sales leaders to ensure the pre-sales engineering team delivers high-quality designs and accurate cost estimates.
  • Operational Alignment: Collaborate with operations leaders to identify post-sales engineering needs and align them with financial targets.
  • Efficiency & Standardization: Drive tool and process standardization to enhance overall engineering efficiency.
  • Profitability Focus: Ensure a strong focus on profitability and growth, working proactively with procurement and operational colleagues to achieve cost certainty.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across functions (project execution, sales, procurement, and product management) to ensure timely delivery and cost reduction.
  • Resource Planning: Plan, hire, and develop team competencies to support business growth, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet productivity targets and cost absorption.

What We Look For:

Required:

  • Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Proven experience in people management.
  • Extensive experience in designing industrial refrigeration systems and turn-key installations.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.

Preferred:

  • Fluency in French.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading transformative change initiatives.
  • Background in field-based operations.
