About

Certified Hospital Outpatient Coder, responsible for coding and abstracting outpatient accounts in compliance with guidelines, this full-time remote position requires at least 1 year of hospital coding experience in Same Day Surgery or observation.
Key Responsibilities
Assigns accurate diagnostic and procedure codes based on clinical documentation
Reviews HCPCS charges and codes for appropriateness of modifiers
Monitors work queues to ensure timely charging of all records
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
Certified Coding Associate (CCA) or other relevant coding certification
1+ years of hospital coding experience preferred
Must reside in MO, IL, OK, or WI
No prior experience required for entry-level candidates
