Full-Time, On-site Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Subsea Design Engineer. Responsibilities will include engineering, planning and offshore installation support for subsea systems including pipelines, umbilicals, risers, and subsea structures. The role supports offshore construction projects by ensuring safe, efficient, and technically compliant subsea operations.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design
Design and analyze subsea pipelines, risers, umbilicals, and subsea structures.
Develop installation procedures and engineering calculations.
Perform stress analysis, hydrodynamic analysis, and seabed interaction studies.
Review and approve engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Offshore Construction Support
Provide engineering support during offshore installation operations.
Subsea pipelines
Flexible risers
Umbilicals
Manifolds and subsea structures
Coordinate with offshore construction vessels and installation teams.
Project Planning
Participate in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering phases.
Prepare method statements, installation procedures, and risk assessments.
Support schedule planning and cost estimation for subsea activities.
Inspection, Testing & Commissioning
Support subsea equipment testing and commissioning.
Review inspection reports and quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (API, DNV, ISO).
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all operations comply with HSE standards and offshore safety regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification (HAZID/HAZOP).
Support safe offshore operations during subsea installation.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of:
Subsea production systems
Pipeline installation methods (S-lay, J-lay, Reel-lay)
ROV operations
Offshore lifting and rigging
Engineering software such as:
OrcaFlex
CAESAR II
OFFPIPE
RISA
ANSYS
AutoCAD
ABAQUS
Understanding of marine operations and offshore construction vessels.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Experience working with major o
shore operators and contractors.
International o
shore project experience.
3–10 years of design experience in o
shore/subsea design engineering.
