CBP Officer Job Description

The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) is seeking highly skilled professionals to serve as Customs and Border Protection Officers. As a CBPO, you will play a critical role in safeguarding America's borders while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.

• To be eligible for this position, applicants must:


• Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level that includes enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws;


• Possess strong analytical skills with ability to make rapid judgments about regulations, instructions, ; & procedures related to importing/exporting merchandise into/from U.S.; and/or enforcement/administration laws regarding right persons entering/residing/departing from U.S., Guam/P.R./Virgin Islands;
