About
Opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator in our Huntsville, Alabama location. We are looking for individuals who prioritize safety and efficiency to manage the movement of goods within our distribution center. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring products reach their destinations swiftly and securely.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and ensure proper placement.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues promptly.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and participating in cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Be vigilant and aware of surroundings to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of colleagues.
- Perform tasks that involve significant lifting and material handling on a consistent basis.
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to meet operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and a minimum of (X) years of experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including frequent lifting of heavy items.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain environments is highly valued.
