We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist or Dentist to open a dental clinic at Saguache Dental Clinic. *Responsibilities*
* Perform dental cleanings, examinations, and assessments to evaluate oral health status
* Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays and other diagnostic tools
* Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
* Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency
* Review and update medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
* Conduct vital signs measurements and patient assessments prior to treatment
* Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures
* Utilize dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record management
* Support pediatric dentistry needs by creating a comfortable environment for young patients
* Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care and accurate medical coding
*Skills*
* Proficiency in dental office management software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices
* Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-related procedures is highly desirable
* Skilled in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting and medical imaging
* Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment
* Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation review and updates
* Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
* Understanding of general dentistry procedures, medical coding, and documentation review processes
