We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our team at our San Jose, California facility. This position plays a critical role in the initial stage of our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and prepared for storage. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect received goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming inventory for proper storage.
- Report any receiving errors or damages to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates for efficient put-away of goods.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and the correct usage of required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a related warehouse role is essential.
- Proficiency with computers and inventory software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing necessary PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
