About
Our growing logistics operation in Dallas, Texas, is looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and storing all received goods. This position is vital for maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring a smooth workflow within the warehouse. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, including the provision of necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label all received inventory appropriately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely to move materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve any receiving-related issues.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Experience operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety and adhering to PPE requirements.
