We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team in the vibrant logistics hub of Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and secure movement of goods throughout our warehouse. Your expertise in operating forklifts will support receiving, put-away, order picking, and shipping operations. The ideal candidate is a certified operator with a strong commitment to Safety, efficiency, and teamwork. You will contribute to maintaining a well-organized and productive warehouse environment, handling a variety of materials with precision and care. This is a key position within our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with accuracy and care.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations as directed.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment, documenting any maintenance needs.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and performing cycle counts.
- Ensure that all work areas are kept clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Comply with all company Safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving departments by staging and organizing materials.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Occasional tasks may require manual Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of OSHA Safety regulations and warehouse Safety best practices.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to wearing and maintaining PPE.
- Experience with various lifting techniques and material handling.
