Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise, work with a variety of tools and equipment, and provide exceptional service to our customers. Experience in dealership settings and proficiency with schematics are highly valued.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, and suspension work
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and schematics
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
  • Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with heavy machinery
  • Inspect vehicles for potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
  • Assist in vehicle inspections and ensure all work meets quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and answering questions professionally

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role; dealership experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy shop environment
  • Valid driver's license required; ASE certification is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.11-$42.74 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
