*Responsibilities*
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in patient care and preventive dentistry. Key responsibilities include:
* Perform periodontal maintenance by removing plaque, calculus, and stains through scaling and polishing
* Conduct therapeutic periodontal scaling and root planing procedures
* Administer local anesthesia when indicated
* Apply fluoride treatments to aid in the prevention of dental caries
* Review and update medical and dental health histories
* Perform oral inspections, including oral cancer screenings
* Record dental and periodontal findings accurately
* Take digital dental radiographs
* Document hygiene treatment in electronic dental charts to support diagnosis and treatment planning
* Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition for dental health, and the impact of tobacco use
* Maintain effective infection control protocols
* 3-4 day work week
* 2-4 years of dental hygiene experience preferred
*Qualifications*
* Licensed Dental Hygienist (state requirements met)
* Strong clinical and communication skills
* Knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive care
