SCOPE :
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Finance, the Sr. Financial Analyst plays a critical role in improving cross functional forecasting in Wellness and Tilray Alternative Beverages. This position will facilitate the demand, trade and margin review process by working cross functionally to develop and communicate the most accurate sales, trade and
margin forecast / budget for leadership.  They will facilitate dialogue and work cross functionally with the team to analyze ROI and develop action plans. They continuously develop forecasting tools to streamline forecasting processes, improve forecast accuracy and create supply chain efficiency. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Forecast/Consensus
  • Drive and influence the execution, performance and continuous improvement of the shipment forecast / budget for all brands and new items.  Team member is responsible for mastering multiple information sources to develop a demand forecast: shipments, consumption, weeks of supply, promotional lift, ACV, velocity, market penetration. 
  • Drive and influence trade analytics forecast / budget, reviewing ROI of existing programs and influencing future trade plans in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Innovation and Operations teams.
  • Enhance and develop process to forecast / budget COGS, enabling GM transparency by business.
  • Present forecast performance in the monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings.
  • Provide meaningful insights and transparency by leading weekly tracking in Pacing meetings.
  • Process Improvement
  • Drive and facilitate key processes, as well as identify and develop new processes as required
  • Drive optimization as primary resource on behalf of sales team in refinement of an S&OP process
  • Develop process to assess ROI on existing trade and optimize for future.
  • Systems
  • Provide expertise as we continue to utilize the systems (Business Central, Sage, Excel) to enhance the future state of the Demand Planning process.
  • Lead Trade Optimization project with external consultants.
  • Analytics/Reporting
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, performance and maintenance of reporting (current and new), ensuring standardization in metrics, calculations, data sources and terminology
  • Drive and influence the monthly branded sales report review and forecast financial lock process.
  • Monitor the demand plan performance (forecast error, accuracy, bias) by measuring actual versus planned performance at multiple planning levels. Prepare performance metrics and distribute to collaborators as feedback for continuous improvement
  • Develop comprehensive opportunity analysis, including volume, funding and resource allocation considerations
  • Support both tactical and strategic decision-making with regards to brand, shopper and retailer investments
  • Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations organization in the forecasting and management of trade strategies
  • Utilize Business Central to improve efficiencies within above mentioned processes.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of previous experience in Planning or Supply Chain data analysis or similar role.
  • Excellent data management and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks / priorities and lead cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to self-start and work proactively.
  • Ability to problem-solve, adapt to changing customer demands and sense of urgency.
  • High level proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office.
  • Able to prepare and conduct presentations and meetings
  • Detail oriented with solid investigative skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines and work flexible schedule when required
