*Job Overview*
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled *Occupational Therapist* to join our dynamic team in Fargo, ND. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs that help children achieve their rehabilitation goals. Your work will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our patients through targeted therapeutic interventions and holistic support. *Key Responsibilities:*
* *Assessment and Plan Development:* Conduct thorough evaluations to determine each child's unique needs and develop tailored occupational therapy treatment plans that align with our core values.
* *Therapeutic Interventions:* Administer engaging and effective treatment activities that promote functional independence, addressing the physical, psychological, and social aspects of each patient's development.
* *Family Education and Support:* Provide guidance to families on adaptive techniques and equipment, empowering them to support their child's progress outside of therapy sessions.
* *Collaboration:* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, sharing insights and strategies to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
* *Documentation:* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions while respecting confidentiality.
* *Professional Development:* Stay informed about the latest advancements in pediatric occupational therapy practices and incorporate evidence-based techniques into treatment sessions.
* *Environment Maintenance:* Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming therapeutic environment for both children and their families.
* *Additional Duties:* Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the mission of the organization.
*Required Knowledge and Skills:*
* Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pediatric therapy principles.
* Proven ability to work effectively with diverse pediatric populations and their families, providing quality, empathetic care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
* Motivational and problem-solving skills to encourage patient engagement and address challenges in therapy.
* Flexibility to adapt to evolving patient needs while working collaboratively within a supportive healthcare team.
*Education and Experience:*
* Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
* Previous experience in pediatric settings preferred; experience in occupational health or case management is a plus.
