About
In your role as the Head of Machine Learning you will be responsible for all aspects of the hiring company´s Machine learning pipeline and the Machine Learning team. Your main goal is to maintain and improve the machine learning pipeline. You will report directly to the CTO. Together with the CTO you will decide which new features should be implemented, you will plan and manage the implementation of said features and also get hands on for the implementation itself. You are responsible that the system scales up with the increase in customers and that the quality of the data provided to the customers is good. You also take care of the ML team, both from a project planning and coaching perspective.

Vacancy
Who you are
- A very good understanding of the current state-of-the-art in Machine Learning for computer vision
- A very good understanding of Machine learning in general
- MSc in data science, robotics, computer science or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience with AWS services like SageMaker, S3, Lambda, Step Functions
- Proficient in Python
- Proficient in PyTorch, familiar with Keras
- Familiar with Docker
- Familiar working with large amounts of image data
- Team lead experience
- Familiar with Scrum (ideally scrumban)
Your tasks
- Plan and coordinate new features for the ML pipeline
- Help to implement new features / fix bugs
- Ensure that features are documented properly
- Communicate improvements / changes to the company, raise awareness for new developments
- Understand the ML pipeline as a whole: data workflows, training workflows, the underlying infrastructure, …
- Ensure that the ML pipeline runs smoothly and make sure that errors get fixed quickly
- Supervise the ML team (2-4 members, including yourself)
