About the Role As a Trades Specialist, you will be part of our Commercial Construction field sales team, working as a field‑based employee in the Syracuse, NY territory.
Responsibilities
Achieve top‑line sales targets by selling DEWALT, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and PORTERCABLE brands to end‑user customers.
Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end‑user partners through product and services solutions, and manage CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs.
Teach and mentor the local market team on end‑user development, including contact points, purchasing processes, and alignment with product managers, distributors, and service centers.
Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
Maintain and use Salesforce.com as a CRM and planning tool, and communicate successes and failures to streamline future processes.
Qualifications
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field; relevant construction field experience may substitute for higher education.
Minimum 3+ years of sales or marketing experience in construction supplies with a proven track record delivering results, preferably selling to high‑level executives, C‑Suite, and jobsite directors.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to combine empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.
Valid driver’s license and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment.
Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary with total target cash compensation ranging from $84,000.00 to $135,200.00, inclusive of base salary and variable cash compensation.
