A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a
Mechanical QA/QC Superintendent
to support large commercial mechanical construction projects in the San Antonio market. This leadership role is ideal for someone passionate about quality, process improvement, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements.
If you have a strong mechanical construction background and enjoy being the technical expert responsible for maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, we would like to speak with you. Responsibilities Lead project quality assurance and quality control efforts from preconstruction through closeout Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans and procedures Conduct inspections of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards Coordinate testing, commissioning, turnover documentation, and quality reporting Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change documents for quality compliance Identify deficiencies, develop corrective action plans, and track resolution through completion Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Leadership, Engineers, Owners, and General Contractors Support field teams through training, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Construction, QA/QC, Supervision, or Project Management Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents Understanding of commissioning, testing procedures, and mechanical quality standards Experience working on large commercial, healthcare, industrial, mission-critical, or institutional projects preferred Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills QA/QC certifications are a plus Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred Why This Opportunity? • Large, complex commercial mechanical projects • Established and growing contractor • Strong leadership team and supportive culture • Long-term career growth opportunities • Competitive compensation and bonus potential • Comprehensive benefits package • Relocation assistance available • Opportunity to make a lasting impact on project quality and company standards The Ideal Candidate
