Behaviour Specialist: Full-Time Permanent Post Location: Callan Institute, Saint John of God Community Services clg., Crinken House, Crinken Lane, Shankill, Co. Dublin, Ireland. About Us: As part of SJOGCS, Callan Institute provides consultation, training, and support in Positive Behaviour Support(PBS), using the Multi-Element Behaviour Support Framework, and Raising Understanding and Awareness (RUA) in relationships and sexuality. Our work is grounded in a Human Rights-Based Approach, promoting dignity, autonomy, and inclusion with the SJOGCS values of Hospitality, Compassion and Respect guiding everything that we do. We are dedicated to understanding and supporting the behavioural support needs of individuals (adults) with intellectual disabilities, together with their families and staff. Our practice is guided by the Multi-Element Behaviour Support Framework, a comprehensive and constructional approach of Positive Behaviour Support. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic innovative team committed to delivering high-quality educational and consultancy services, empowering adults with an intellectual disability to lead fulfilling lives. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with adults with intellectual disability (and their identified circles of support) facilitating Positive Behaviour Support, preferably using the Multi-Element Behaviour Support Framework for assessment, plan development, implementation, and evaluation. Experience in lecturing, teaching, and research in Positive Behaviour Support, Person centredness and a Human Rights Based Approach. Knowledge of legislation, standards and policy relevant to behaviour support. Education: Relevant primary degree in a health science area (e.g., psychology, nursing, therapy). Master's Degree (Level 9) in Behaviour Science (e.g. Positive Behaviour Support, Behavioural Science, CNS in Behaviour, Behaviour Analysis) Other: Excellent communication and ICT skills. Registration with a relevant professional body in Ireland, for example, Psychological Society of Ireland, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or other. Eligible to work in Ireland and hold a full clean driving licence and access to a car.(Travel to different locations is a requirement of the post) What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits in line with HSE Consolidated pay scales in accordance with the applicant's education, experience and professional registration.
