Prepares/operates radiology equipment for the correct size, depth and detail of a requested exposure area, based on physicians' orders and in adherence to department protocols. Explains procedures to patients and responds to questions. Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to comfort and protect the patient, self and others from unnecessary radiation. Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to ensure that results are consistent. Cleans equipment after each use. Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams/procedures and/or special procedures. Job RequirementsRequired
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities required. Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required. Current Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Preferred
Work experience involving the current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
