Job Title Electrical Foreman- Technical Services Reporting To Project Manager Location Mobile Role Various Client Sites / Projects Job Description The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical works across multiple sites and projects. The role involves liaising with clients, managing electrical operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and programme requirements. The Electrical Foreman acts as the primary site-level electrical lead and reports directly to the Project Manager regarding progress, labour requirements, quality, safety, client coordination and technical discussions. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Coordination Supervise electrical installations, small projects and reactive works across multiple sites. Coordinate daily activities of electricians, apprentices and subcontractors. Placement of material orders in line with specifications and existing site equipment. Ensure works are completed in line with drawings, specifications and project programmes. Allocate labour resources effectively across active works. Carry out regular inspections of works to ensure EHS and quality compliance. Attend site meetings when required and provide progress updates to the Project Manager. Liaise with clients, site management teams, and other trades on site. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and company procedures. Conduct and review: SPAs (Safe Plans of Action) Risk Assessments Method Statements GA1 / GA3 Forms PAT Testing Correct use of tools and site set-up Permit-to-work systems Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times. Carry out toolbox talks and safety briefings. Ensure all incidents, hazards and near misses are reported immediately. Ensure compliance with relevant standards. Quality Control Ensure high-quality workmanship standards are maintained. Monitor installation quality and ensure snagging items are completed as you go. Verify testing and commissioning activities are completed correctly. Ensure documentation is completed accurately, including: Job sheets Test records Service reports As-built markups Material records Photographic records Labour & Resource Management Monitor labour productivity and report issues affecting programme delivery. Coordinate materials, tools, plant and equipment requirements. Identify additional labour or resource needs and communicate them to the Project Manager. Mentor apprentices and electricians. Ensure apprentices are properly supervised and sign-off procedures are followed correctly. Provide a learning environment to apprentices by ensuring exposure to various tasks. Communication & Reporting Provide daily and weekly updates to the Project Manager. Escalate technical issues, delays, client concerns or safety matters promptly. Maintain clear communication with office staff, helpdesk coordinators and commercial managers. Assist with planning shutdowns, reactive call-outs, and emergency works where required. Escalate project variations to PM/QS and ensure additions are captured. Essential Requirements Qualifications Qualified Electrician with recognised electrical trade qualification. Valid Safe Pass. Manual Handling certification. Full clean driving licence. PSA/MEWP/IPAF certification advantageous. First Aid certification advantageous. Experience Minimum 5 years experience in the electrical industry. Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role. Experience managing project-based electrical works. Strong knowledge of commercial and electrical systems. Experience working across live environments and occupied buildings. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of: Electrical installations Distribution Systems Containment Systems Emergency lighting systems Fire alarm systems Security Systems Data & Communication Systems Fault Finding Testing & Inspection Ability to: Electrical drawings Schematics Specifications O&M documentation Assess existing operational electrical systems Key Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and organisational skills.
