Role- Data Center Migration - Project Manager
Location- Raleigh, NC (Onsite)
Full Time Employment
The Project Manager - Data Center Migration is responsible for planning and executing assigned workstreams or migration waves within a larger DC migration program.
The role focuses on day-to-day delivery, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and application migration activities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage assigned DC migration projects or workstreams from initiation to closure. Develop and maintain project plans in MS project, schedules, RAID logs, and status reports. Proven hands-on experience in using Microsoft Excel to compare datasets, perform data analysis, and generate accurate insights and reports. Coordinate with application, infrastructure, network, and security teams to execute migration activities. Track dependencies and ensure readiness for migration waves and cutovers. Support application migration activities including discovery, planning, testing, and cutover. Manage data center decommissioning tasks for assigned scopes. Identify risks and issues, propose mitigation plans, and escalate when required. Ensure adherence to change management and operational readiness processes. Provide regular status updates to Program Manager and stakeholders. Support governance forums, reviews, and migration readiness checkpoints.
Required Skills & Experience
8-12 years of IT experience with 5+ years in Project Management. Hands on experience in Data Center Migration or Infrastructure Projects.
Good understanding of:
Server, storage, network, and virtualization technologies Application migration lifecycle IT service management processes Strong planning, coordination, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors. Experience working in global delivery models. PMP / Prince2 / ITIL certification preferred.
