Speech Language Therapist Come join our team and start making a difference! Position: Speech Language Therapist Starting Pay: Up to $60 DOE PRN is available upon request What we're looking for: This position is open to SLPs at all experience levels. CFY Applicants Welcome! The Speech Therapist is responsible for providing rehabilitative therapy to patients upon referral for communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical practice requirements. This includes recovery, improvement in function and when possible, a return to a prior level of functioning. Clinical documentation will describe objective measures and justification for continued or discontinued services. This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Essential Job Duties:
All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in our established policies and procedures. Adheres to and assures compliance with Code of Conduct, facility policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and standards as promulgated by Federal, State, and accrediting agencies or regulating bodies. Completion of required compliance training and processes. Effectively screens/evaluates patients and/ with communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Assesses patient's progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to patient evaluation and referrals are made in relation to outcomes. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the speech disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements. Participation in required meetings including but not limited to: patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, etc. Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services and conferences. Able to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Able to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists Adherence to ASHA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Adherence to Company required policy and procedures and code of conduct. Active ASHA and State Licensure Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Education/Requirements:
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an CNA in California. Current CPR certification American Heart Association BLS Familiarity with assisting clients/residents with activities of daily living and taking vital signs. Please note you will be asked about your COVID vaccine status at the time of your interview. Vaccine guidelines vary between facility partners and geographic regions.
