Assistant Maintenance Manager Location: Wexford | Full-Time | Permanent Salary: €60,000-€65,000 DOE The Company A large industrial processing operation, supplying high-volume services to commercial clients. The site operates as a fast-paced production facility, with continuous throughput and a strong reliance on plant performance and uptime. Engineering and maintenance are central to operations, with a focus on keeping production running and improving how the plant performs over time. The Role The Assistant Maintenance Manager will support the running of the maintenance function while also driving improvements across the plant. Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff in a busy production environment Support day-to-day maintenance across electrical, mechanical and plant systems Maximise uptime through preventative and reactive maintenance planning Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility Coordinate and manage third-party contractors and maintenance works Work closely with operations to improve efficiency and workflow Assist in managing maintenance budgets, projects and resource planning Step in for the Maintenance Manager when required This role sits between the shop floor and management, with a mix of hands-on involvement and team leadership. The Person The role is suited to mechanically minded supervisors looking to step into a broader role. Trade qualified fitter with good electrical awareness Typically 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role Strong understanding of mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, automation) Comfortable working across both planned and breakdown maintenance Backgrounds may include Maintenance Supervisor, Senior Technician, or Lead Fitter stepping up Able to read schematics and technical drawings Good communication skills and able to deal with multiple departments Organised, practical and comfortable in a fast-moving environment The Package €60,000-€65,000 salary, depending on experience Pension On-site parking Skills: maintenance service mamf fitter mechanical fitter production manufacturing Benefits: pension
