Inside Sales Representative
The Inside Sales Representative works as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team responsible for managing communication and information flow between multiple company locations and a large customer base. This role focuses on selling a diverse product portfolio across the United States, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, and partnering with internal teams to drive performance and profitability. The position combines account management, inside sales, and coordination responsibilities to manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, with a strong emphasis on targeted expansion opportunities and operational accuracy. Responsibilities Sell the company's product portfolio to customers across the United States, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer contacts to drive repeat business and customer loyalty. Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, with a focus on targeted expansion opportunities and strategic account development. Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication. Partner with internal teams, including sales, transportation, and shipping, to drive performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with transportation and shipping teams to ensure accurate and timely product deliveries. Monitor account activity, identify trends, and propose strategies to improve sales performance and operational efficiency. Use Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports, presentations, and documentation that support sales activities and decision-making. Analyze customer needs and market conditions to recommend appropriate products and solutions. Lead and participate in internal and external meetings, delivering effective presentations to communicate updates, proposals, and results. Maintain organized records of customer interactions, orders, and account information. Handle special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned, supporting broader team and business objectives. Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment to share best practices and contribute to a positive sales culture. Essential Skills 24 years of experience in an account management, sales coordinator, or inside sales role. Experience in commodity sales within agriculture, oil, gas, lumber, or industrial/manufacturing sales. Bachelor's degree with relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Proven background in sales or inside sales, with a strong focus on account sales. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate data, identify issues, and propose effective solutions. High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation in a sales or account management environment. Ability to thrive and perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Effective presentation skills, including the ability to prepare materials and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience coordinating with transportation and shipping functions in a sales or account management context. Background in managing a portfolio of accounts with a focus on targeted growth and expansion. Comfort working with multiple company locations and a large, diverse customer base. Experience working in a corporate office environment within a structured sales organization. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs while maintaining high-quality work. Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and professional correspondence with customers and colleagues. Work Environment This role is based in a corporate office environment and is part of a structured sales organization. The Inside Sales Representative works closely with a team that currently includes nine Sales Representatives and six Coordinators, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented culture. The environment is fast-paced and performance-driven, with frequent interaction across sales, transportation, and shipping teams. Daily work relies on Microsoft Office and other standard office technologies to manage communication, reporting, and account information. The position offers a professional office setting with regular business hours, where teamwork, communication, and shared goals are central to success. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Cordova, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $77000.00 - $92000.00/yr.
