POSITION SUMMARY:
The Team Lead - Software Quality Assurance is responsible for understanding business requirements and flows, creation of test strategy & test case scenarios for execution. Review test results following QA standards ensuring the utmost quality of software implementation. Also, perform tasks in sync with the timely releases of the products. Perform manual testing and collaborate with automation team to drive testing efficiencies for repetitive testing tasks.
DESCRIPTION:
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Work closely with QA team to implement the automation roadmap. Design and execute Quality Assurance test plan, including the creation of test cases. Design and execute User Acceptance test plan, where applicable. Run regressive test scenarios and evaluate results. Execute functional, system, and automation tests. Troubleshoot and analyze defects found during testing cycles. Record, track, and test defects to closure. Maintain software testing documentation including, but not limited to standard test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Manage your own assignments in relation to the project schedule. Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others. Performs related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements:
BS or BA degree in a technical field. 6+ years of Quality Assurance experience. QA certification or equivalent experience. Experience guiding a QA team in a Lead role. Experience leading and settings expectations for more junior team members. Experience designing and implementing automation strategies and plans, with a proven track record in reducing test time and reducing defects in production. Experience developing and implementing testing strategies and test plans for both web-based and mobile applications. Experience developing and leading large testing initiatives using a combination of documented processes, people, and proven methodologies. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
Knowledge of Mortgage / Financial applications. You have deep analytical skills to aid root cause analyses on both web-based and mobile applications. Experience developing risk assessment profiles based upon data collected in collaboration with other teams. Experience partnering with development teams to build maintainable testing solutions that include manual testing, automation, and tooling. Creating, implementing, and reporting on KPIs related to product quality. Experience with software development processes including Agile/Lean methodologies, and DevOps concepts, particularly in a CI/CD environment. Familiarity with defect tracking applications (i.e., Jira). Knowledge of Automation frameworks (i.e., Selenium, Azure DevOps preferred). Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Working on-site at assigned office location. Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership. Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand. Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations. Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time. Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls. Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures. Additional Information:
