Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed - Full Time in Orangeburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a dynamic healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This armed post offers the chance to support patients, staff, and visitors while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and always acting with integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify authorization as directed, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
- Support hospital operations by assisting with de-escalation, documenting incidents, and coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
