HL7 Integration Engineer
This role involves designing, developing, and implementing complex integrated solutions for Merge’s imaging suite, working with clients, solution architects, and project managers to deliver custom HL7 interfaces and application integrations. Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to implement and operationalize Merge software and integrated solutions. Apply knowledge of Merge solutions, site workflows, and business requirements to optimize solution effectiveness. Define, document, and validate solution requirements. Design, develop, deploy, and support custom HL7 interfaces. Design, develop, and deploy custom reports and application integrations. Perform and support custom data imports and exports, including development of supporting tools. Assist internal teams in resolving field and client issues. Serve as a subject matter expert in sales calls and discussions with prospective clients. Support go‑live activities and transition solutions to the Support organization. Deliver services in alignment with established implementation methodologies. Maintain accurate records in CRM and regulatory systems. Escalate product issues through the defect tracking system. Engage in continuous learning to expand expertise in Merge products and related technologies. Identify and communicate opportunities to improve client solutions and internal processes. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications
6+ years of Healthcare IT experience. 3+ years configuring HL7 interface engines, including HL7, XML, and related integrations. 3+ years configuring and supporting in‑house applications. Background in healthcare informatics and medical imaging workflows. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, written, and verbal communication skills. Project management experience, with the ability to manage a dynamic workload and align expectations with stakeholders. Familiarity with source control systems, defect tracking systems, and reporting systems. Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required. Work Environment & Travel
Office or remote home‑based work environment. Travel: 0‑5%. Compensation
$93,936.00 – $140,904.00 (USD) per year. The range reflects the general market value for the position and may vary based on experience, qualifications, and specific requirements. Benefits
