This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading organisation working on complex, high-value projects within one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction. You'll play a key role in preparing competitive tenders while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and developing strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. The Role As Mechanical Estimator, you will: Prepare detailed mechanical estimates from drawings and specifications. Produce accurate quantity take-offs and pricing documentation. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Compare tender returns and provide clear recommendations. Assist in maintaining cost databases and estimating records. Present estimates to senior management when required. Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants. Work closely with CSA and Electrical Estimators to deliver coordinated tender submissions. Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement within the estimating function. Identify project risks and ensure high-quality tender documentation throughout the bid process. About You To be successful, you will have: 4+ years' experience in a mechanical estimating or quantity surveying role. A strong mechanical services background. Experience preparing estimates within the construction or building services sector. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as CostX, Buildsoft or similar. Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills. The ability to identify project risks and opportunities. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines. Knowledge of FIDIC contracts would be an advantage.
