Requirements: This role is fully remote. You can work from anywhere in South Africa. 4–5 years of relevant full stack development experience Strong proficiency in at least one OOP backend language: Java, C#, Kotlin, or Python Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot,. NET, or Django/Flask Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Angular, React, or Vue) Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles (SOLID, design patterns) Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Experience working in an English speaking environment

Skills: Strong grasp of OOP concepts: encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction Experience with relational databases and ORM frameworks (e.g. Hibernate, Entity Framework) Ability to design and implement scalable backend systems Implementing automated testing and unit tests Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams

Nice to have: Experience with Kotlin or Spring Boot for JVM-based development Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of CI/CD practices and Dev Ops principles Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Familiarity with TDD/BDD practices
