Seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator for a contract role, the remote position will manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across global IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities
Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, implementing performance tuning strategies and resolving bottlenecks Design and support high availability solutions while ensuring robust backup and recovery strategies are in place Collaborate with infrastructure teams on database migrations and modernization initiatives across on-premises and cloud platforms
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments Strong experience with performance tuning and query optimization Hands-on experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions Familiarity with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc.)
