The floor supervisor is primarily responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store. This includes coaching and training associates, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage at all times.
This position will be performed onsite at our store. Remote work is not available for this role.
Outcomes for success include: supervising all store employees and activities, including safety and security of store and staff; performing all duties of a lead cashier when working in that capacity; being a resource when managers are absent or unavailable; performing mod store walks to ensure all departments are up to par; ensuring employees are providing excellent customer service; holding team accountable for lunches, breaks, dress code, and balancing staff throughout the store to provide the right level of customer service; ensuring proper execution of marketing initiatives; responsible for closing the store when needed; utilizing sound judgment in customer and employee situations and responding in a calm and professional manner; promoting our core values and being an example to all employees of what is expected; creating a positive culture for staff, customers, and vendors; uplifting staff by developing an atmosphere and environment of accountability; interacting with maintenance team and providing direction to keep the store clean and safe; reporting any malfunctioning equipment to the proper person for repair; developing and training future leaders, with emphasis on lead cashiers and cashiers; helping maintain inventory accuracy with proper inventory cycle counting; performing some light administrative duties as required; and may perform duties of yard/warehouse/driver as needed in smaller yards. May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements include: prior retail experience required, excellent oral and written skills, excellent interpersonal skills, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, highly motivated and able to work under pressure, strong basic computer skills, team player, possess strong leadership ability, professional and positive attitude, bachelor's degree preferred, 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical requirements include: ability to lift 30-50 lbs. seldom and occasional lifting less than 30 lbs., occasional sitting, alternating with frequent walking and standing, occasional reaching out and light handle / grasp, seldom reaching above shoulder and below waist.
