Job Description and Duties Are you looking for a fast paced and challenging role that offers valuable technical and administrative experience, exposure to Information Technology Branch leadership, and an opportunity to grow your IT career? The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Information Technology Technician to support the Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) Division Chief and Management Team. This entry level position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is eager to learn, and wants to contribute to important technology related operations that support a large statewide organization.
The Information Technology Technician will provide direct support to the Division Chief and Division Management Team, performing a broad range of duties that may include:
Assisting with service requests for division staff – including equipment, software, and account needs – consistent with typical IT Technician client service work such as user account management and technology asset tasks.
Supporting administrative and technical functions related to division projects, research, and process improvement activities.
Collecting, organizing, and summarizing information – such as legislative analysis responses or research findings – to support executive decision-making.
Preparing, drafting, and editing communications, documents, and summaries for leadership review.
Assisting with budget tracking, procurement coordination, and asset inventory maintenance.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to report to the headquarters office on their assigned in‑office days; travel expenses to and from the headquarters are the employee’s responsibility.

Qualifications Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications as stated in the Classification Specification. Eligible applicants include those currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, having list or LEAP eligibility, or in the process of obtaining list eligibility. SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority.
