This is a hands-on, technical coordination role for someone who understands how modern AI actually works and is relentless about detail and delivery.
*What you'll do*
* Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent AI deployment projects, coordinating the work of several forward-deployed engineers at once.
* Translate client needs into clear scope, milestones, and timelines — and hold every project to them.
* Serve as the primary point of coordination between engineers, client stakeholders, and internal leadership.
* Track progress, surface risks early, remove blockers, and keep everyone aligned on priorities and deadlines.
* Maintain rigorous project documentation, status reporting, and delivery standards across all engagements.
* Understand the technical work deeply enough to ask the right questions, sanity-check estimates, and make sound trade-off decisions.
*What we're looking for*
* Proven experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously, ideally in software, data, or AI environments.
* A working understanding of how AI and large language models (LLMs) function — you can hold a substantive technical conversation with engineers.
* *AI-native:* you actively use AI tools in your own workflow and are fluent and comfortable with the current AI landscape.
* Exceptional attention to detail — a near-perfectionist standard for planning, tracking, and delivery.
* Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Able to work *in person in the New York / New Jersey metro area* (strongly preferred).
*Nice to have*
* Hands-on experience building something on top of AI — prompts, agents, integrations, or LLM-powered applications.
* Background as an engineer, technical lead, or solutions role before moving into project management.
* Experience in a consulting, forward-deployed, or client-facing delivery environment.

* *Type:* Contract, with the potential to convert to a permanent role (contract-to-hire).
* *Location:* In person, NY / NJ area.
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
