Role & Responsibilities
Analyze brand and enterprise data warehouse and reporting requirements to inform data architecture, modeling, and design decisions.
Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes, database queries, and data access models to support reliable data aggregation and insight delivery.
Develop high‑quality, efficient, and maintainable code that meets business and technical requirements.
Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset and proactively adopt improvements in daily engineering practices.
Deliver end‑to‑end JIRA user stories in alignment with team quality standards.
Collaborate with cross‑functional and matrixed teams, including Operations, Technology, PMO, Product, and Data Strategy/Insights, to design, build, test, and deploy data warehouse solutions and reporting tools.
Perform ad hoc data analysis across multiple datasets to support various business units.
Participate in quality assurance testing for data pipeline initiatives and enhancements to analytics platforms.
Qualifications & Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar discipline.
5+ years of experience in software/data engineering.
Proficiency in one of the modern programming languages JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, and Python.
Experience with backend frameworks like Express.js, Django, or FastAPI.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with big data platforms e.g. Snowflake, Databricks.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
Experience with AWS cloud services - Athena, Quick sight, Kinesis, Lambda, IAM Policies.
Experienced in software delivery through continuous integration (for example git, bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.).
Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools e.g., airflow.
Experienced with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is essential for automating testing and deployment processes to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
