Role and Responsibilities Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Act as the primary liaison between the company and general contractor (GC) clients, fostering strong professional relationships.
Conduct site visits to assess project needs, gather client requirements, and provide expert guidance on roofing solutions.
Maintain proactive and clear communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
Estimating and Contract Execution
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate labor, material, and cost estimates.
Develop scopes of work and professional proposals for homeowners, contractors, and clients.
Present proposals and proactively communicate with clients throughout the sales process to drive projects toward contract execution.
Handoff & Project Support
Ensure smooth project handoffs to operations with clear scope and expectations.
Act as a liaison between clients and the operations team to support change orders, scope revisions, and project‑related concerns that may impact timelines, while helping communicate next steps, solutions, and client expectations.
Serve as a technical and relationship resource during active projects when needed.
Technical Expertise
Apply strong knowledge of specialty and/or historic roofing systems — including slate, clay tile, cedar, and architectural sheet metal — to support successful project outcomes.
Stay current on industry trends, roofing innovations, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes.
Act as a technical resource and mentor to junior team members by sharing knowledge, guidance, and best practices.
Business Development
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through relationship development and networking.
Develop credibility with homeowners, builders, architects, and industry partners to generate repeat and referral business.
Embrace and lead with the belief that trust, exceptional customer experience, relationship management, and technical expertise are the driving forces of long‑term sales success.
Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and grow key accounts over time.

Qualifications
At least 3-5 years of roofing industry experience with proven success estimating and closing contracts for specialty roofing projects involving slate, clay tile, architectural sheet metal, and other premium roofing systems, along with strong technical knowledge of roofing materials, systems, installation methods, and construction practices.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
Advanced understanding of blueprints, specifications, and project documents, with the ability to accurately interpret and apply information to estimating and project execution.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, proactively manage client communication, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Candidate must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in a project management role within the roofing or construction industry.
Familiarity with project management software, estimating tools, and CRM systems such as Edge Estimating, Dataforma, and Bluebeam.
Strong understanding of local building codes, permitting requirements, and industry regulations.
Bilingual abilities, particularly English and Spanish, are a plus.
