Data Analyst
for our Global D&IT Data Team at Volvo Financial Services.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with information architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to identify data sources and assist in data extraction for analysis.
Prepare data from legacy systems for migration to the Next‑Gen systems being implemented by VFS.
Support the data team in identifying, documenting and revising reporting requirements and, when necessary, designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
Ensure that data products are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
Act independently to prioritize tasks, propose solutions, and drive improvements.
Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, making data actionable.
Support data governance by ensuring quality, consistency, and security of data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally with Sales or Finance data.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI and experience in building data solutions.
Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and deliver fit‑for‑purpose data products.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
Experience translating stakeholder needs into actionable insights and visualizations.
Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud‑based platforms (Azure preferred) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and ability to present data in an understandable and actionable way.
Working experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.).
Solid understanding of statistical techniques and data modeling is a plus.
Preferred Location Wroclaw, Poland or Greensboro, North Carolina, USA.
Benefits & Compensation Base pay is set at $72,600.00 - $89,700.00 annually, with bonus eligibility where applicable.
