Roles and Responsibilities Drives analytical solutions for internal stakeholders to support strategic and operational initiatives, including ownership of business intelligence capabilities. Will work collaboratively with Clinical Operations, Technology, Finance and other key leadership to drive strategic decision-making and clinical and operational efficiency improvements. Specializing in data analytics, the individual will use coding and development skills to design and optimize engaging, high-impact and innovative reports, dashboards, and analytics to primarily support ongoing operational excellence and other strategic initiatives.
Leads enterprise Business Intelligence strategy with a strong focus on modern data platforms, including Databricks, to advance and scale existing analytics capabilities and data products. Partners with Data Engineering to oversee ongoing evolution and scaling of cloud-based data and analytics solutions, including data pipelines, Lakehouse architecture, and semantic layers.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop a high-performing BI and analytics team
Set clear goals, priorities, and accountability standards
Mentor and coach leaders; support talent development and succession planning
Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
Strengthen partnerships across Analytics, Clinical, Finance, Operations, and Technology
Analytics & Data Delivery
Translate business needs into scalable data models, queries, and analytical solutions
Optimize, maintain, and deliver impactful dashboards, reports, and advanced analytics using tools such as Databricks, SQL, Python, and Power BI
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, and opportunities for improvement
Develop actionable insights supporting clinical performance, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes
Lead KPI monitoring, root cause analysis, and ad hoc analytics
Conduct change impact analysis and support operational excellence initiatives
Partner with Data Engineering on data architecture, pipelines, and platform scalability
Maintain and enforce data quality, governance, and validation standards
Maintain, govern, and extend a library of reusable data assets and analytical tools
Ensure integrity, usability, and accessibility of enterprise data
Visualization & Stakeholder Engagement
Deliver intuitive, executive-ready dashboards and visualizations
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize analytics initiatives
Ensure ongoing quality, performance, and usability of BI products
Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights by identifying key trends, synthesizing findings, and delivering compelling data-driven narratives tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What We Are Looking For
Deep expertise in healthcare data (authorizations, claims, coding, providers, eligibility) and its application to complex business problems
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for large-scale analytics
Proven experience operating and scaling BI solutions on modern platforms, with the ability to assess, extend, and improve existing production environments
Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data transformation
Experience in statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
Strong business acumen across clinical, financial, and operational domains
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
Significant experience leading analytics teams in a healthcare environment
Demonstrated success scaling and maturing BI functions and teams, including inheriting and evolving existing platforms and infrastructure
Strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills
Proficiency in modern analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Databricks, Power BI, Python)
